We had a very successful visit by 21 members of Dromore BKA to the apiary on Saturday morning as part of their Annual Day Out.
The rain held off for long enough to examine a couple of hives.
The (still warm from the oven) scones, cream and home made jam provided by Susie went down a treat.
In Elmer’s absence, Susie welcomed our visitors and gave a brief history of the apiary and the association.
Patrick Lundy, Chairman of DBKA presented the Association with a Beekeeping Book by Clive de Brun.
The coach party left at lunchtime on their way to Mid Antrim BKA for a barbeque lunch.
Thanks to Elmer's donation of a beautifully made Varroa Floor which we balloted and raised £75.00 for Bees For Development Trust. Copy of letter to the trust attached.
