Dear Beekeeper,
We are delighted to invite you to attend a new event in the Ulster Beekeepers Calendar.
The format will be as follows-(approx timings)
. 7.30 pm .Sharp UBKA AGM(information to follow)
. 8.30 pm Hot Supper (£5 per head)
. 9.00 pm Presentation of Certificates -Preliminary, Intermediate. (our chance to recognize and celebrate the hardwork and ongoing efforts of associations and members to improve their knowledge and standards of beekeeping throughout Ulster.
. 9.30pm Guest Speaker -Phillip McCabe- We are lucky to get Philip McCabe's agreement to come and speak , because as well as running 60 colonies and extensive intercontinental traveling on Apimondia business, he holds down a full-time "day job". A truly very busy man! He is probably the best known beekeeper in Ireland and in beekeeping circles he is well known as the past president of the Federation of Irish Beekeeping Associations during the period when it combined with UBKA to plan and host the highly successful Apimondia 2005 Congress in Dublin. Philip is a highly entertaining speaker who combines sharp observations about beekeeping with a quick wit and an amusing turn-of-phrase.
The AGM presents your opportunity to elect officers and have your say.
This is a great opportunity to socialise with new and old friends and discuss the challenges in beekeeping.
Please let your association secretary know if you intend to attend to allow catering numbers to be confirmed. We look forward to seeing you there.
